Dark blue aventurine glass and miniature hand painting
This unique piece, commissioned by one of our customers, combines Italian dark blue aventurine glass and miniature hand painting for a highly refined result.
On the central medallion, several butterflies overlapping each other are carefully hand painted on a metal base. Many thin layers of acrylic paint are necessary to reach the required level of details, depth and gradations. This involves many hours of precise work and the expert eyes of the miniature painting artist. When it is finished and dry, the slightly embossed surface of the miniature painting charmingly reminds of traditional oil painting on canvas.
Just like the frame of a painting, a dark blue aventurine glass circles the miniature painting and gives it a truly poetic style.
To complete this watch, we chose a handmade dark blue alligator leather strap. Delivered in a bespoke traveling pouch made of the finest dark blue French calf leather, this model is a one-of-a-kind and will therefore never be produced ever again!
